IT 315
IT 315: Introduction to Networking and Security
IT 315 offered an introduction to modern networking concepts and technology for ODU students. Because I already had fundamentals in networking from the Cisco Network Academy, the course was and overview of what I already learned. However, it was more than that as I turned it into an opportunity to channel what I learned and what I began relearning in the course to the course case analysis project and the hands-on assignments.
The course covered topics included network architectures, infrastructures, services, protocols, cyber attacks, adversaries, and defense. All of these topics would be channeled into the case analysis which covered designing, analyzing, and building a network from the ground up, cables, racks and everything.
