Block 2: Basic IP and Subnetting Project Video

This project was one of the primary outcomes from my internship with the 338th. The goals of this project was to provide additional and neccessary supporting information to aid student understanding and outcomes with arguably the most important aspect of the Network Systems Operations Course: Block 2 Basic IP and Subnetting. This project was an important outcome because it involved collaboration with my peers, other fellow interns, to examine the squadron’s requirements and propose changes to the courese. Our process to examining the Block 2 class materials was:

  1. Examining the squadron’s training material and teaching methodologies and compare it to other academic and technical sources for the class.
  2. Identify weakpoints in the materials and identify where the instructor is to fill the gaps, and where further information gaps persist.
  3. From these persistent gaps, identify a solution of aid student understanding of the material.

From this process, we identified that a small series of videos pertaining to IP Subnetting and Binary was the most critical point of persistent information gaps in studnet understanding.

Project Script

The script was the supporting tool of the project as it enabled us to hash out the most important aspects of the project: what and how to present the video. The video as of yet has not been posted. Once it has, this page will be updated to include it.
